There are no exclusively gay hotels in Quito of which I am aware. The following are known to be gay-friendly. The words "Hostal" and "Hotel" are synonymous up to the 2- or 3-star standard. If you book with any of these, please mention this web-page.

Web-site: http://www.moteles.cl/stgo1/scl1.htm
Mostly gay hotel in a beautifully well kept 1920s building with an interior ornamented like a
castle. Room rates (including breakfast) are $22,000 per night double, $14,0000 per night single.
Main credit cards accepted. Rooms are spacious and all have own bathroom and cable TV with video.
Next door to Bokhara disco. Rooms also available for three hours; see website for rates.
On the other hand if you are travelling on a budget you can e-mail the Santiago tourist office tur_ims@entelchile.net and they will send you a list of Residenciales that offer Bed & Breakfast for about US$10 per night.
If you need a hotel room for just a few hours then the classified ads section of the daily newspaper La Tercera has a page full of them with prices averaging around $6000 for three hours. I don't believe there is any problem with same-sex couples using these hotels.
Close to Plaza Italia there are comfortable furnished apartments to rent per hour or per night. Call 634-7298 or 09-233-1080.
Many of the discos offer free or reduced entry and happy hour drinks early in the evening. Call, or check the appropriate web-site.

Web-site: http://www.gaychile.com/punto-g/
This is on one level of a dilapidated, ramshackle building and the facilities are poorly
maintained. There is a small, scruffy changing room, unlit steam heat room, large dry heat room,

containing a strange contraption resembling an exercise machine and needing instructions for use.
Nevertheless, probably because of its convenient central location it is fairly popular. Entry is
$5000.
